Nooshi ZamaniOCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST (she/her/hers) I am a pediatric occupational therapist with 16 years of experience in the field. My journey began with my education in occupational therapy at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Iran, where I graduated in 2007. After relocating to Canada in 2015, I continued to learn and grow in my profession, including taking some courses at McMaster in 2021. During my time in Iran, I had the privilege of working for nine years in pediatrics, and I also had the opportunity to serve as a clinical director for a pediatric clinic. These experiences were incredibly valuable, as they allowed me to gain insights into the unique needs of children and their families, and I hope that, in some small way, I was able to make a positive impact on their lives. Since my move to Canada, I have been fortunate to work with neurodiverse children, both in the West Vancouver School District and in various occupational therapy settings, including private practice. I have a deep passion for working with kids and find great joy in helping them explore their creativity and develop their independence. Outside of my professional life, I have a few interests and hobbies that I enjoy, including painting with pastels, staying active through workouts and tennis, dancing, spending quality time with my family, and appreciating the beauty of nature. I'm grateful for the experiences I've had and the knowledge I've gained over the years, and I continue to strive to be the best pediatric occupational therapist I can be while remaining open to learning and growth. |
