Occupational therapy for children helps support a child’s ability to participate successfully in everyday activities at home, school, and in the community. Pediatric occupational therapists work with children to develop the physical, sensory, emotional, cognitive, and self-care skills needed for daily life, learning, play, and social participation.
Therapy is individualized to each child’s unique strengths and needs and includes play-based activities, movement, sensory strategies, and parent collaboration. The goal is to help children build the foundational skills they need to participate more fully, confidently, and successfully in their everyday environments.
We provide therapy services for children from toddlerhood through adolescence. We do not accept new clients over the age of 18.
Only some insurance plans cover occupational therapy and thus it is best to check with your provider directly for specific details.
Please note that we do not direct bill insurance polices. After payment, we provide a detailed receipt that has all the necessary information for submission to your insurance for reimbursement.
Parents are welcome to join sessions every so often. We generally encourage parents to take time for themselves while their child is in session. We ask that parents coordinate session observations before hand with their child's OT. We work hard to create meaningful relationships with the child and encourage parental involvement once in a while.
Please note that we attempt to answer emails and voice messages within two business days but days do get busy.
We appreciate your patience.
